My Story

My name is Annabelle Farmer, I'm 20 years old and I was born and raised in Manchester. Having come from the home of Media City coinciding with my love for performing, I've always felt inspired to create and produce media. My interest in journalism began back in sixth form where I reviewed plays and school trips for my schools magazine.

After graduating, I pursued a degree in journalism at Leeds Beckett University where I was able to gain more valuable experiences through news days, work experience and meeting people from the industry.

In addition to reporting, I have also discovered new skills in photography, video/radio production and social media within the last three years. I am a strong believer that being able to demonstrate a varied approach to storytelling is key factor when it comes to keeping todays audiences informed and engaged throughout the digital age.

My Ambitions

As someone who has a passion for both journalism and exploring new places, I've been drawn to the possibility of becoming a travel journalist after I graduate.

in my opinion, one of life's greatest thrills comes from immersing myself into a different culture, meeting new people with fascinating stories and exploring the beauty and diversity that our world has to offer first hand.

If I were to pursue the career of a travel journalist, it would provide me with the chance to share these incredible experiences with others, using my storytelling skills to hopefully inspire them to plunge into their own adventures.

His headmaster always admired him for his bravery and the impeccable moral compass that came so naturally to him. “I think that was the start of my journey to becoming a journ
